Analyst

A recently qualified Finance Analyst is required to join a £200 million turnover division of a media PLC. Based in the West End of London this role will support Finance, Operations, Human Resources and project finance on working capital and strategic overhead analysis with an operational focus across the business.

Key outputs:

• Provide Operations month end overheads review and commentary including strategic overhead analysis for quarterly reforecast and budgets
• Co-ordination and analysis of central overhead reporting providing commercial and financial support for HR, legal, finance, pensions and recharges
• Challenging the business to drive down unnecessary expenditure & other cost reduction initiatives
• Provide commercial and financial support for the Op’s Director and teams
• Sense check and monitor the cash and working capital results from a financial and commercial viewpoint
• Monitor the Capex process, including preparation for Capex Committee Meetings, compilation of Capex forecasts and monitoring of actual spend vs. forecast
• Involvement in preparing financials including cash flows of business cases for operations
• Implement process improvements across relevant areas
• To be responsible for maintaining a tight SOX control process within the business

The successful applicant will hold a related degree together with a post graduate finance qualification (CIMA /ACCA /ACA) with knowledge of SAP & Hyperion being an advantage but not essential. Strong excel is essential as is a solid understanding of financial control & reporting
