Finance Manager

Our client, a rapidly growing Top 100 UK Law Firm, is recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their south London office in a No2 role within their finance function.

The role covers a broad range of duties, supporting the Head of Finance to ensure the finance function is running efficiently and striving to continuously improve. The successful applicant will manage the day to day operations of the finance department, leading and developing a team of 8. Previous experience within a similar role is essential.

Duties include:

• Managing the finance team, including training and recruitment
• Supporting the Head of Finance and acting as a key point of contact to Partners
• Ensuring compliance with SARs and Money Laundering regulations
• Review and improvement of internal processes to ensure efficiency and compliance
• Production and analysis of management reporting
• Budget preparation and variance analysis
• VAT returns
• Overseeing all aspects of the billing process
• Overseeing the preparation of bank reconciliations
• Acting as reference point for external advisors
• Involvement in various ad hoc projects

Person specification:

• Qualified or QBE Accountant with proven experience in a similar role
• Self motivated and proactive individual
• Team management experience, able to train and develop staff
• Up-to-date knowledge of SARs and AML compliance
• Strong business acumen
